Small groups can build a sense of community within the church. They bring together people who have the same interests, challenges, or life stages. This creates a shared bond that can strengthen the church. Members of a small group can develop close relationships with each other and provide emotional support and accountability.
We have just the place for you.
Small group sign up is going on now through March 9 - there’s a signup list in the church lobby or call the office.
Even if you don’t get a chance to sign up, feel free to attend any of our groups. Start a conversation, help create community and grow deeper in your faith as we gather in small groups and learn from Scripture and each other.
The first semester begins the week of March 9 and ends the week of May 25. You do not need to be a member of our church to join a small group. If you didn’t get to sign up in the beginning, no worries. You can still join a group.

Spring 2025 Groups
Thursday Evening Small Group: Whether you're a nearly life-long believer or still exploring what it means to live life as a Christ follower, we would love for you to join our small group. We will meet each Thursday evening at 6:30 at the church. Join us for snacks and conversation as we discuss the week’s sermon topic and how we can apply it to each of our lives.
This group is led by Amber and Nathan Batchelor on Thursdays at 6:30pm at First Baptist Church of Aurora. Reach out to Amber at 812-290-6825 if you are interested in learning more.
Thursday Morning Small Group: This group is for anyone of any age - whether you are just trying to figure out who Jesus is, or you have been a long-time follower. Come sit with us as we discuss the Pastor’s sermon topic for the week, review the scriptures and discover how it applies to our lives. This will be a very informal time where we can get to know each other better and connect with others. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Monday Evening Small Group: This group is for anyone at any age – whether you are simply curious about Jesus, or you are a mature believer. Join us as we have conversation about the Pastor’s sermon topic of the week, look at the Scriptures, and consider how it applies to our lives. In the Fall sessions of the small groups, we found our relationships with each other grew stronger and we truly grew closer to each other. Let’s make this happen again during this very casual time.
